Each babies or kids love watching cartoons some love books but still they have atleast 1 cartoon they like best and love to watch when they were still little. My buckaroo as soon as he gets up from bed at 9:00 he goes to the TV and start watching his favorite cartoons. Here are the cartoons he love watching in the morning;
9:00 - 9:30 Mickey Mouse Club house, he like the songs,the colorful clubhouse and the cartoon characters in the show,but sometimes he missed this show when he gets up at 10:00
9:30-10:00 Handy Manny where in the tools doing their work with handy manny, but most of the time he just watched it when they start singing their theme song.
10:00-10:30 Imagination Movers, it’s not only my buckaroo who watch this show, hubby too. They both watch it on the weekend when hubbys not at work. On weekdays only jake watch it and enjoy the dancing and the singing the imagination movers are doing when they solve problems.
10:30-11:00 Little Einsteins, He even try to follow when the four kids in the show doing their tap, and clap inside their rocket ship. When my buckaroo copied the tap,tap instead of tap his words are dat..dat…dat hehehe he can’t say other words yet aside from the word or rather say syllables dada or da da da dady. He is talking geberrish words that only him can understand. And then at 11:00 I have to switch the channel to other cartoons network.
11:00-11:30 Wilbur, its a nice cartoon show though, its the one on the picture above. They are reading books and find solution through wilburs books. Like wilbur says Books are moovelous. It will help the kids to love reading books.
11:30-12:00 Peep and the Big Wide World but sometimes he missed this a lot of times because it’s his nap time and the last show is the Hi5 at 12:00-12:30 he just like the songs and the dance and those kids in the show who tried to immitate the cast. But he missed this a lot of times. After he watch all his show and I put him to nap I change the channel to the show I like to watch in the morning which are the Beverly Hills 90210 and One tree hill hehehe. This is my little buckaroo’s routine everyday and in the afternoon he just want to play, trashing the place. I didn’t see this cartoons when I was little, maybe because we don’t have that much channel or less shows on TV back in our hometown.

For a couple of weeks, hubby has been busy with work and calling people about apartments. For the past few months, he has been looking around on craigslist for any available apartment or house to rent this summer. Our lease in this crappy apartment we are renting right now will end at the end of July. We had hoped that we could find a decent place before July first. Last weekend we looked at a 4 bedroom house and a 4 bedroom apartment close by in this neighborhood and the prices were good. But, there was a problem with the house, and the owner was really looking for a buyer to unload it on. It was on the market already, and he has it rented for a while. Plus, there are lots of holes in the wall, the carpet is dirty, and he is not going to replace it. However, the apartment was spacious and clean, but there was no bathtub, and the shower was too small. And both the house and apartment are available only until May. Nevertheless, we didn’t like either one, so hubby called another management about this nice house in a nice location, and he set up an appointment for us to check it out. Last Tuesday, we went there to see the house. We liked the house. It is a three story building with three bedrooms, a dining area, big kitchen, living room, backyard, and a basement with washer and dryer hook-ups. The price was a little bit more than what we budgeted for, but the heck with it. We plan on living in that house for at least three years. We prayed for it because the problem is that it might not be available after May. Hubby talked to the management about our situation. The next day he received a call, and it was good news. They let us have it! Finally, we can live in a house. Our babies will have their own bedrooms, I will have a bigger kitchen to cook in, the bathroom is great, and the backyard has a swing set. Jake and our little princess will have a bigger and more spacious place for walking and crawling. All is well that ends well.

Somebody asked me what the definitions of recession and economy were just yesterday. Here was my reply. We don’t care about the definition of words like economy, economics, recession, or whatever. All we know is that our economy here right now really stinks, and it appears that it’s going to be like this for a very long time. When I was single, I just didn’t give a damn about how the economy had been doing, as long as I had my job and had food to eat and had extra money to spend on trips to the mall. This is especially true in my case since I come from a third world country, which doesn’t have everything that is available here in America, meaning that we are used to our simple life there, and we never worry too much about any problems that we encounter. However, most of the people there don’t own cars. We have jeepneys for our transportation, or we simply walk. We can also ask for vegetables and fruits from our neighbor’s garden in case we are out of food, so basically we are contented with whatever food is available at any given time, and we are contented with our dismal state of affairs. Most of us there thought that life in America is better. We would always overlook the idea though that people here earn dollars, but also spend dollars. If we convert dollars to pesos of course, it seems like a way better life is happening here in the United States. Now that I’m here living in this country with my own family, I have become acutely aware of how the economic success of America is essential to our lives. If the price of gas goes up, then our daily budget is substantially affected. Even with a job that you think is secure from any recession or bag of economic problems, you still have to worry about your living situation with respect to inflation and interest rates. Nice reply huh?

Just wanna update this blog before I got to bed. As I said to myself today no matter what I have to write a post in this blog. And I’m keeping my promise eventhough I’m tired and my housemates are all snoring asleep already. How really words so important to us, For me when I say or promise something I have make sure I can keep that promise or keeping your word. Last week we had our sonogram’s appointment and gladly we knew the gender of my baby. In 5 months from now I’ll be giving birth and the thought of it reminds me of my last delivery. I had my contraction in the afternoon and my babger still at work. So I called him and tried to be sound calm so that he won’t get panic. But I soon as I said I’m having 5 mins apart contraction he was in haste and ask some student of him to tell the class will be cancelled and let all the students of that class know that he wouldn’t be around. One of his student raised her hand and promised he will deliver the news to the whole class and inform the secretary ofthe Dean department just in case they’re looking for him. So, my husband really put his trust to that graduate student girl and concentrate on me and the baby. After 6 hours of labor and jake came out, he called his officemate to check on his class and he was surprised and disappointed when his officemate told him that a lot of his students stopped by at his office looking for him. The next day he snaked out to take care of few stuff like test papers and grades and of course explained what happened. He found out that, the girl who promised him and looked him in the eyes to do the things he wanted to do, didnt really said anything. That is one example that even here in the US where in people stands up to what they say, some of them really are capable of lying.

Ah, the March madness of college basketball is upon us once again. It is possibly the most exciting month of sports that we have. It seems that everyday, there is something new to talk about. Who beat who? What small college just beat one of the perennial giants? For me, it is quite different this year. I’d like to talk about a small to medium size private Catholic university that did not make the big tournament. Duquesne University, located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, is not usually one of the teams getting a lot of press this time of year. But, this year was a special one for their basketball team. Just three or four years ago, they had a three win season, and the basketball program was sliding downward quickly. But a new coach and a never-say-die attitude brought them back from all of that, and they managed to make the finals of their conference tournament. They played a really good game, but came up about 6 points short of beating Temple University (We’ve all heard of them right?). As a result of their great play in the conference tournament, they received a bid to the National Invitational Tournament, which is a lesser tournament, but gives more teams a chance to play. They were matched up against Virginia Tech University in the first round and lost in double overtime. I watched them play all of these post season games, and believe me when I tell you that they were playing well above themselves at all times. They were simply magnificent, and they should be applauded by all. As for my picks in the big tournament, watch out for Marquette University and Duke University. Have fun b-ball watchers!

This picture is one of my baby jake sleeping moment. He like sleeping in position then, until now. Our little buckaroo has been sleeping with us, with this kind of position he take more space in our bed. Most of the time he sleep on top of us with this position, kick us everywhere and fuss if he can’t have the position he wanted to have. Now that his bigger, he is getting heavier too. He usually used me as his pillow, on my head, my chest, my stomach and even my legs. He sleeps like a hog. If he is on my stomach I had to move him coz it hurts sometimes especially now that my tummy is getting bigger. I sometimes moved him to used his dad for his pillow but since it’s too high for him he goes back to my body. We tried many attempts to transfer him to his crib but as soon as I put him down there he gets up and cried like hell. No choice, had to put him back in our small bed. We need king size now with this kind of baby who sleep like he owns the world a lot of times I ended up at the edge of our bed and hard to turn around coz if his not on top pillowed us his underneath me if I sleep on my side. When jake sleeps sideways, hubby turn around and sleep on his left side so that everytime jake kicks, it came out as a massage to his back. Many times I mentioned in my previous post not healthy or advisable for the baby to sleep in his parents bed, he has to learn to sleep on his own to teach him to be independent. Once we get a new place this summer he can have his own room by then, and we are hoping this summer he will go back sleeping in his crib again.

What’s up with me? I have been missing a lot of post in my fave blog. I’ve been busy being lazy lately, spent my weekend watching this TV series from the 1990-2000 Beverly Hills 90210 the old version. It’s a reapeat though, but hubby and I like watching it on weekdays and weekend,even our little buckaroo watched this but not the whole show, he is just interested with the music. I’ve seen this show before when I was young,back in high school in the 90’s. It was great, a lot of young groups back then wanted to be like this group, well not the kissing and the BFF betrayal part but the fun as a whole group and friendship they have. Tried to follow the hair styles and fashion the cast are wearing. They have this repeat in the morning and afternoon on weekdays and noontime on the weekends. I usually watched the morning part after jake’s cartoon show but I missed some part of it so I watch it again in the afternoon with hubby at 5:00 to 7:00. I watched couple of episode with the new edition of this,the 90210 but i don’t find it interesting than the old one. They have new generation cast and part of the show were Brenda(doherty) and Kelly(jenniegarth). Well the old is still the best for me. It felt young again watching it, you smile, annoyed and giggle again lol

We had Jake’s doctors appointment this morning for his 12 months old visit. Well, everything as usual went well, he is a good baby as what the doctors said. When he check his head and made a another measurement, he was a little bit hesitant of what he nooticed on jake’s head. It was the same doctor also who refered us to a head surgeon when jake was about 6 months. And indeed we went to the surgeon to have his head checked back then, and the result was fine. The surgeon doctor said his head was perfectly fine that she can rate it 0 or almost 1. We told his doctor about that result then. This morning he let us to make another appointment to go back to the this head surgeon to see what will be their findings regarding his head. For us jake’s head is perfectly okay, even other people said it was okay. When he was still a little baby, he used to sleep in one side only and if I tried to moved his position he would go back to his position or woke up. That is why his head before kind of a little deformed but we corrected it right away around 2 to 3 months. It’s a lot of hassles to get an appointment and go to your appointment, especially this months we have plenty of appointment to go to. But, as ordered by his doctor we will go there, im sure they will give us the same result.
