Hand-me-downs
One advantage being the youngest in the family is you get to keep a lot of hand-me-downs stuff. My husband’s nephew and niece are all grown up now, then came my son jake who became their youngest cousin in the family. We got a bunch of hand-me-downs stuff from my sisters in law. From the clothings to the crib, book to toys. Those stuff were being passed from generation to generation. Some of those stuffs were from my husbands and his sisters stuff like the crib, toys, books when they were little. We also get a bunch of new ones from their kids. My little buckaroo loves so much those old toys. He rather played with the old ones than playing with the new toys we bought for him. Until now he’s still playing this old sesami hanging mobile, and gnaw this old rattle he got from his cousin. The clothings we got from them were still in good shape, if fact some of them for infants were new. It was big thing for us, we saved money in buying these things. We also recieved this 1 bucket of hand-me-downs clothings ages 6 months to 3 years old from my husbands colleague. That was so nice of her, giving them to us. We don’t have to worry buying him shirts and pants he could wear inside. Although, we still have to buy him clothes to wear when we go out especially when seasons changes and of course he deserve to have new ones too. My mother- in- law always gave him new clothes, toys and books everytime we visited her. I also got some old stuff from her, like for baking and sewing and that old christmas ornaments we had this christmas were from her. It’s been in their family for years. She’s very nice, kind, and generous we adore her. Now, that I’m expecting another baby soon, we do not know yet if its a boy or girl, we had a few hand-me-downs for girls too from my hubbys niece. No one would refuse to have hand-me-downs stuff especially everything are expenssive.
