considered AWOL
There is still one unfinished issue lingering in my system that i hope in the future i could clear it. I used to have a decent career back home. I filed a leave of absence without pay for 3 months before i flew to usa. A month from my leave i decided to resigned from my job and submit my resignation through mail with the help of my friend at work. With the thought that i was all cleared up with all my responsibility and accountability also the hope to apply again someday in the future when I go back there. Until I recieved a call from a friend and a mail from the person in charge that I wasn’t cleared. This information sent after 5 months from the said leave. The big boss did not accept my resignation for some reason like I have to pay them back a certain amount of money. I was confuse how did that happen, I dont have loans in the company that i could think of. I was on leave and I resigned before my leave of absence be over. Those were the few out of many questions that need an answer. I found out that the person in-charge didn’t submit my resignation right away and the company paid me in those time that i was on leave, they also deducted recent absences. What on earth was going on? why they paid me, wheres the money. They lost my leave of absence paper according to them thats why they deducted absences from my salary. And I have to pay back the whole amount of money they paid to me for 3 months. I can’t clear this whole thing right away and defend myself because I’m here, long distance calls are expenssive. I also refuse to pay the money i didn’t received. They considered me AWOL absence without leave. This whole thing shattered my plan for future job application and leave a negative mark to my profession. Technically it was their fault, so im still looking forward to correct all this issue when i go back there.
