Travel frustrations can be avoided.

Published by dubster under Uncategorized Edit This

This is been a true experience for me, i once travel just by my self when i first got here in the US, and it was so frustrating for me cause it was my first time and i was by my self, thats was a frustration base on paying much much more attention and keeping a good focus, and i would say, Hey! i made it, and it wasn’t that bad for a first time and international trip. Now, its more different and more stressful, cause i travel with my son who’s only 10 1/2 months old and this is only a domestic flight. So i have some guidelines and its base on experience, it will save a lot of time and energy for you. When you are traveling with child:1. Make sure all the documents you need for your self and your child is in easy access and organized.  a. for you, you need your ticket and ID.  b. for your child, Birth certificate . 2. Check in most of your stuff, just bring the stroller, your purse and diaper bag, the lighter the better.3. Go to the airport few hours before your flight cause sometimes, going through security is going to take a long time. This way you won’t be rushing and you can relax a little bit because you have plenty of time on your hand. So, i really learn a lot on my travel this time, i was relax, my child was amazingly a good boy. To avoid travel frustrations specially if your child’s  with you, get everything ready and handy and make a time plan. My son jake and i did really good.img_0039.JPG

Vegas here we come!

Published by dubster under outings Edit This

img_0223.jpgIt’s our second time to go to vegas, first with my hubby and jake, but now, its just me and  jake, coz hubby has to work. My sister is with us in all this travel, she gave us free ticket coz her husband work as a pilot in Southwest Airline. We got up so early, we got lucky jake was in the mood when he woke at 4:00 o clock in the morning and it was so very cold outside with a bunch of snow in the ground and a lot more coming down. Thanks God, everything was okay, we got to the airport early. Hubby has work so he had to drop us early to the airport. My little buckaroo was overwhelmed with the people at the airport. He didn’t made any fuss at all, he was busy looking around. He is such a happy and agreeable baby, we are so lucky and blessed to have him in our life. We checked in our suit cases and luggage, and when its time for our flight, jake went back to sleep. I was worried before what would be his reaction when the plane take off, but i’m glad his sleeping during that time. The first time we were in Las Vegas jake was only 4 months old and back then he was really pretty mellow when it comes with traveling, he just observed the environment and this time, he was more friendly and excited and amazed with all the people and the color, its so overwhelming seeing his reaction, smiling to everyone who says hi and hello. So, jake and i are just going to stay for a few days, but we have some line up activities already in schedule, we will make it worth the trip cause it might take a long time before we can have this vacation again. It would be more fun if hubby is with us on this trip but maybe next time.

Fun, Busy weekend

Published by dubster under outings Edit This

How was your weekend everyone? We had fun last weekend, spent saturday  family story time at the library for our little j to  be with other kids. He got tired and fall asleep right away as soon as we hit home. The next day my sister from vegas visited us, even if the weather was cold and snow all over the ground, things went well. We spent most of our time at home talk about a lot of things. She invited us to go to vegas and one of the reason she came up here so that we have her to accompany us during the travel. I got busy doing things around before we left for vegas and spent time with my hubby, i felt bad he couldn’t come with us because he has work. I know he will miss jake terribly, and we’ll gonna missed him too. I got lucky also with my other blog, i received one task not that much but means so much to me. I apologize to my ec dropper not be able to drop them back i just got caught up with my busy weekend. Hope you guys had a great weekend. Enjoy the week.

A Vacation

Published by dubster under outings Edit This

Sometimes in our life we really need space or outlet to release the stress and the pressure of life. There are a lot of ways to amuse ourselves and forget whatever problem we have about things and life. We can go watch movie, go to the mall, shopping or even read books or listen to some music. I already tried some of them, and what i want  is to take a vacation. My sister been offering me to take a vacation to their place with free ticket back and forth. We were there last summer and i wanna go back there. I have been begging my husband for that, but he won’t allow me. I convinced him again and again  of a week vacation for almost a year now. Finally he said yes, i can go for week. I am so happy and excited for it, i can take my son with me. I don’t expect to have a grand vacation, i just need to be away and be in a different place. You know the need to be in different invironment for a while and enjoy the not so cold weather. I’m looking forward for this vacation soon, and hope nothing inconvenient would have happen.

Politicians

Published by dubster under Politics Edit This

Hi everyone.  Sheila’s hubby here.  Time for the truth about presidents, vice presidents, and politicians in general.  No matter where you are from, and no matter what you think is best for your country, there is no politician that can be the answer that you are looking for.  Why, you ask?  The answer is that they are (by definition) all liars.  They simply tell people whatever it takes in order to get elected.  Once elected, they ALL go back on their promises.  Every president in office since I have been alive has raised taxes.  Not most of them, but all of them.  None of them have even come close to fixing the social security problem, and none of them seem to do anything to make healthcare more affordable.  The reason for this is simple.  They don’t care, and in fairness, why should they care?  They’re already in office.  They have already secured their legacy in American (or wherever elses) history, and they have already secured secret service and good retirement pay until the day they die.  All they are concerned with in their four years is plotting for reelection.  And that only means more and more lies.  Take the blinders off and face it folks.  These politicians didn’t get where they are by telling the truth all the time.  By definition, if you are a succesful politician, then you are a liar.  You’re probably a pretty good liar at that.  Oh, and did I forget to mention, that they don’t care about your personal problems?  When is the last time one of them knocked on your door and asked “what can I do for you?”  Hmmmmm.  Sorry to sound so cynical, but I’m sick and tired of every four years everyone getting so darn excited about the new people in office and then a year or two later sitting around wondering what the heck happened.  What happened is that you got suckered again.  Sorry to have to tell you this, but it’s true.

In from the snow, it’s my hardworking hubby.

Published by dubster under Uncategorized Edit This

It is so easy to forget to mention sometimes, but I have an extremely sexy and hardworking hubby. He puts in so many hard hours at work, and yet still comes home to us with a beautiful smile on his face. He is usually bum-rushed by the little buckaroo as soon as he gets through the door, and before he can hang his coat, he is knee-deep in baby slober and spit (he loves it!). He is my everything, and I can’t imagine my life without him. Just watching him hold Jake as soon as he gets home makes me feel warm all over. Recently, just to make a little extra money for us, he agreed to stay a few hours late on Wednesdays and tutor some students. Since my hubby is a smart math professor, he is always busy with work, but he doesn’t mind putting in a few extra hours for the good of our family. He is a perfect example of how a REAL man takes care of his wife and family. In rain, snow or sunshine, he always comes through for us. I hope that anyone who reads this will realize the importance of giving some recognition to a hard working family man like my hubby.

snowjoy

Published by dubster under outings Edit This

After a  week of single digit temperature and freezing cold in and out, we finally get a little break. This week i can’t say i’m gonna like it but I think it is better than icy cold. Actually, sunday was cool too, not in the bad way, the temperature were in double digit, and our icy bathroom has melted. We had a bunch of snow at that time, so we took our baby J outside to see the snow. We had him walk and sat on the snow, touch them and feel the snow flakes dropped on his face. It wasn’t that cold though, nor windy, we want him to take some fresh air too and see the outside world. I think that was a good experience for him, he was smiling while watching the cars passing by and walking on the think white snow. We were thinking of taking him out again to the library last saturday, but due to the bad weather we decided to stay home. So, the next day, we let him enjoy the snow outside in the front yard of our apartment. Playing with the snow is fun kids like it, sledding and making a snow balls. I’m sure when my little monster old enough he will enjoy more being in the snow.

Nausea and Morning Sickness

Published by dubster under pregnancy Edit This

It’s common to a lot of pregnant women to feel the neausea and morning sickness  which can also strike later in the day, especially during in their first trimester. If you feel nauseous in the morning, try eating dry saltine crackers before you get out of bed. Eating four or five small meals a day may be better than three larger ones; it keeps your stomach from getting too full or too empty. And don’t worry that eating too little will harm your baby, just eat as balanced a diet as you can. Take the prenatal vitamin that your doctor prescribes throughout your pregnancy also insure the babys brain development inside the womb. For some women, they not only feel the nausea or morning sickness, but head ache,  fatigue and others too. I get headache occasionally, that pain connects to my eyes. This is my second pregnancy, just like the first one, i get pimples  all over my forehead and a my lips are always gets dry well the wether could be one of the cause of this dry lips. The pimples they will go away once i give birth, and eating well and rest helps ease the headache though i can take medicine like tylenol for this. There are other pregnant women who don’t get any of this, and yet they have this fair and clear skin when their pregnant. Fatigue and emotional stress are just part of this hormonal change that we may feel throughout in our 9 months of  pregnancy or even couple of months after birth. Being pregnant still a wonderful feeling for me as a woman and a mother despite of all this hateful nausea or morning sickness.  You will forget all this when you meet and see your baby after 9 months.

Goodluck sis

Published by dubster under Uncategorized Edit This

Tonight my sister weng is flying to dubai, to search for better opportunity. This would be her first time being away from my family by herself. She stayed with me before, but when i came here she went back to our hometown. She’s on her own now, well she has a friend there, she’s the one invited her to go there. I’m happy for my sister in a way, that she’s finally know what she wants to do with her life now, and have the guts to go abroad.  It’s not easy to be away from your family, so i just hope she can handle it. I wish she can land a good job there, and safe from all danger. Thanks to my brother also who are helping her with the financial problem, and the plane ticket. I’ve heard a lot about dubai, and I know someone who are working there. Like I said working abroad is not that easy but as long as you have the determination and perseverance you’ll succeed, hard work is important too. For you sis, goodluck and wish you the best. We will always pray for your safety, goodhealth and may god be always with you.

Crappy apartment

Published by dubster under Uncategorized Edit This

Eversince we moved in to this apartment, we always find not so good things and we ended up criticising it. At first, we were pleased coz of course bigger than our previous one, but after a week of staying here we wished to have stayed the old one. I’m gonna keep on complaining about this crappy apartments until we move out, but for now we still have 6 months of complains, stress and headache living here. I know it sounds bad, or I may sound like a complainer but i think I have the right. We never checked that much when we were looking for an apartment at that time, who would have thought, how bad this would be. This is one of the problem we encountered recently, It happened already when their water pipe froze, and this morning it happen again, not just that, the walls in the bathroom were all covered with ice and this morning husband used the toilet it didn’t flush, so we have to put hot water to break or melt those ice i think in the pipe, and it work. We can’t use the heater to the bathroom because we are using one in the living room which we move it back and forth to the bedroom too. The breaker will give up if we use electric too much at a time.
